# Overview
Open GRID is a fully web-based platform to develop, train, validate and deploy intelligent skills for a variety of robots.
**It is a full-life-cycle solution consisting of:**
* **AI Foundation Models** - First and third party AI models that target several common robotics tasks including perception, control, planning and safety.
* **High-fidelity Simulations** - Simulate any form factor with diverse sensor models and a variety of environments - both synthetic and geospatial.
* **Data Generation for ML Training** - Capture rich perception and action data to train and evaluate intelligent robots.
* **Accessible Development** - Use Python notebooks to combine AI models, robot, and simulation API to build advanced skills, or utilize an LLM copilot for code generation.
